Versatility: At the New Holly Campus & Rainier Vista, our staff s helps underserved youth understand how to connect with their community through media. Most of the youth in the Versatility class come from East Africa, and they are willing to step up and become leaders in their community. Furthermore, they use critical thinking as a tool that helps his students understand what goes on around them, i.e. watching relevant documentaries, and discussing societal issues. Most of the issues discussed in Versatility are, African issues, violence, leadership, politics, global predicaments, and civic engagement. Hassan also deals with workshops and events that voice out problems regarding violence, and also measures that help bridge the intergenerational gap between African parents and their children.
